Windows 10 Home Version When I try to render my video, it renders as a black screen but with the audio attached. I used a blue screen and chroma key and the stock footage gets rendered but not the actual video. I have turned off the “close media when not active” options and I have disabled the resampling of each track. I have also tried rendering from multiple formats and templates, and they all render the tracks black.

I have selected all tracks, and I have tried to set the loop markers and render the selection but nothing works. I like to see a screenshot of your trackheaders of the videotracks just before going to render.

I’m asking because on my comparable hardware with also a Nvidia with the best drivers it renders good and also much faster than with the old Mainconcept codec you are now using. I am using a mixture of MOVs and Mp4s.

Iphone video may be pretty but it is absolutely awful to edit so far. The Mp4s that are being placed on top of the chroma keyed videos are rendering but not the actual video clips, which are the MOVs. Hmm, mov and mp4s are just containers.

Vegas doesn’t seem to get along well with variable frame rate footage, if that what this is. There are threads about transcoding phone footage using tools like Handbrake to avoid errors in Vegas. Perhaps worth reading those threads and see how others resolved it. Other ways to address render errors is to set dynamic ram preview to 0 before editing and disable video preview acceleration you can still use a hardware accelerated template.

This can help avoid errors with decoding. I have already set the dynamic ram to 0 and disabled the video preview acceleration. I may have to convert the videos if Vegas can’t handle VFR, even though it recognizes it on the timeline and preview. Just seems like I have to re edit the whole thing then :. General Name: p 1. You can right-click on media and “swap video file” or something like that to replace a whole folder full of footage with higher quality versions at once. Need a bit of help. This problem has been happening for me only sony vegas pro 11 black screen after render free on Sony Vegas Pro. So I’ve fully edited a gaming video that I veyas for YouTube, everything seems fine vfgas issues. Then render the video but when I watch the video back after its rendered, half if not most of the video is black screen, but then for some unknown reason it then carries on into the screen preview as well.

We need more information about this bug. My first answer would be to chose a different render settings maybe no GPU accelerated render. And project settings. And render settings My guess: either the Elgato files need to be “sanitized” you could try running them through handbrake or as pascal-k said, try a different render format.

This applies to black-preview-screen only.
