I just switched to a Windows 10 tablet from an iPad. I was trying to get all my normal travel apps and when I tried to download the “Amazon Prime Video US” app and it says it can’t be installed on the device. I thought it might be an Amazon problem and contacted Amazon, but they say that Microsoft is the one who won’t let users install the Amazon Prime app on Windows 10 machines. Is this true and if not, has anyone had any luck installing the Amazon Prime app on a Windows 10 tablet or laptop?

I pay a lot of money each year for Prime and I am annoyed and frustrated by this restriction. What a load of crap To clarify what the OP was asking is to have the app so you can “download” the movies from Amazon directly to their device so they can watch them when traveling and don’t have access to WIFI in and airplane. I purchased my Lenovo X1 carbon laptop for travel and found out this was not available on “Microsoft” Of course I see I can download Netflix directly from the Microsoft store and do exactly what the OP is trying to do but of course no “amazon prime video app”.

Don’t get me started on all the “Google apps” you don’t offer. There is a reason people did not buy the windows phone and sooner rather then later no one will want a PC with Windows. Almost forgot I can download “Amazon Prime Video” app to the Xbox which is hmmm Because there is support for Android.
