The font should populate in the software immediately. Open the zipped folder and look for a file that ends with. This is a refreshing change when compared to alternatives like Inkscape, which requires you to restart the application before the newly-installed font populates, or Illustrator, which has been know to have its share of quirks thanks to TypeKit.
