The main difference is that the nihon-shiki directly transliterates the kana into English, whereas the Hepburn and kunrei systems convert into roman words with clear pronunciation. These are generalizations because the distinctions are more complicated. The main thing to keep in mind is that the Hepburn system uses more punctuation than the others, making it a bit more difficult to type with.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. The button to the left of the 1 the one that says Kanji, hankaku and zenkaku is not functional and I am not sure of how to handle this. Nevertheless, I continue to experience problems with some keys, as mentioned in the previous message. If you cannot write Hiragana and Kanji, you may need to reinstall the Language Pack and reset the “Input settings.
